VEEP INAUGURATES REGIONAL HOUSE OF CHIEFS AND CUTS SOD FOR CONSTRUCTION OF OFFICE COMPLEX FOR THE NORTH-EAST REGIONAL HOUSE OF CHIEFS.

 



The Vice President, H.E. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will on the 23rd September 2020 inaugurate  the North-East Regional House of Chiefs. He will also cut sod for the construction of an office complex for the Regional House of Chiefs.


It would be recalled that the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akudo-Addo, following a petition by the Nayiri and other chiefs and opinion leaders in the region, made a passionate appeal to the president for a Region. The request of the chiefs and people of the area was granted by the president, birthing the North-East Region sometime last year.


It must be underscored that the request for a region predated the assumption of office by the Akufo-Addo administration.


The sod cutting ceremony will take place right after the inauguration of the Regional House of Chiefs. The inaugural ceremony will take place at the dining hall complex of the Nalerigu Senior High School at 10 a.m.

  On Saturday 19th Sep 2020, Zongo Youth Patriots in collaboration with Yamfo and Susuanso NPP Youth held an Aerobic exercise and House to house campaign at Yamfo Zongo in the Tano North Municipality. We were thrilled  to have Great dignitaries to grace the event such as Dr. Gideon Boako Economic Adviser and spokesperson to the Vice President, Hon. ‘NDC will build more MORTUARIES in Zongo Communities’ – Mahama

  The 2020 Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, has said that he plans building more mortuaries in Zongo Communities when voted into power. According to him, this forms part of the numerous intervention programmes which the NDC plans to put in place to develop Zongos and deprived communities when he takes over the governance of this nation in 2021. In an interview on Woezor TV, John Mahama said the mortuaries will help preserve the dead in Zongo areas. He said his government plans to implement this policy through the Zongo and Deprive Communities Fund which it will will set up when voted into power.
